Delete my account

1. Delete your account in the app

Open Femsy and go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account, then confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately and permanently once you confirm. There is no grace period or recovery window. Signing in again cannot restore the deleted account.

2. Request deletion without the app

You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@femsy.app. You do not need to install or sign in to Femsy.

Use the subject “Femsy account deletion” and include the phone number (with country code) or username associated with your account so we can locate it. Do not send your password or verification codes.

We may need to verify that you own the account before processing an email request. We will confirm completion and explain any data that must be retained and why. You can use the same email address to ask about your request.

3. What data is deleted?

Deletion covers your account and associated personal data, including your profile and preferences, photos and other uploaded content, messages and attachments, and location or selected-place information associated with your account, subject to the limited exceptions below.

Relevant service providers also receive deletion instructions. Copies another person independently saved outside Femsy cannot be retrieved through account deletion.

4. What data may be retained?

Some limited records may need to be kept for a specific legal, security or safety purpose, as explained in section 14 of our Privacy Policy:

• Security, fraud-prevention and legal-claim records: only the information needed for the investigation, remediation or documented claim, and only for as long as justified.
• Reports and moderation evidence: while the matter is handled and through the applicable challenge period, including the six-month review window where relevant. Longer retention requires a separate documented reason.
• Compliance and accounting records: limited proof needed to meet legal obligations or handle rights requests. Accounting records subject to French statutory retention are kept for ten years from the end of the relevant financial year; this does not apply to your profile, photos or conversations.
• Restricted backups: copies expire through the applicable backup lifecycle. Deleted information must not return to ordinary use if a backup is restored.

Retained records have restricted access and use. They do not keep your account active or make it recoverable. Contact support@femsy.app for the retention arrangements that apply to your request.

5. Subscriptions and uninstalling

Uninstalling Femsy does not delete your account. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription; manage renewal separately through the store. You can request account deletion without waiting for your paid period to end.
